About Jon Coulter

Jon Coulter earned his master’s degree in Medical and Biological Illustration from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. There he studied gross anatomy with hands-on dissection, histology, pathology, and embryology. This has enabled him to communicate directly with his clients on technical issues and offer advice on those portions of their procedures that can benefit from illustration. Frequently he develops those plans from drafts of the texts.

Jon specializes in case-specific images for legal presentations. In fact, they have often led to settlements without the necessity of a trial. The goal in legal presentations is to make medical procedures easily understood by a lay audience. Many injuries or conditions are no longer visible due to correction or the passage of time, so illustrations can assist in explaining what can no longer be seen.
